The Mathematical Society of the Philippines is turning FIFTY next year! As part of the pre-celebration, we are organizing a Lecture Series that will commence in the second half of 2022 and run-up to the golden anniversary celebrations in May 2023.
In its almost fifty years of promoting mathematics, the MSP has been trying its best to nurture members and continues to provide venues for furthering existing interests and introducing new directions while encouraging greater participation. The MSP@50 Lecture Series intends to do these by featuring an esteemed speaker at each installment. Prospective speakers are experts in their respective fields of mathematics and accomplished mentors who have inspired others through their mathematical endeavors and life journeys. The MSP regional chapters will be enjoined to take turns in hosting the installments.
Who will these speakers be? We would like you to help us identify them. Perhaps you have someone in mind, someone who was your professor, someone whom you have listened to or whose work you have read; someone whose life inspires you, and whose mathematics has caused you to study mathematics more. If you do, we encourage you to visit this site and accomplish the survey form:
We look forward to your participation in the survey and in the Lecture Series. Thanks in advance!
The Nomination will be open until June 15, 2022. Nomination is extended until July 31, 2022.
